• Ned and I have been married 25 years and we have 4 wonderful children:
    • Parker graduated from UCLA Class of 2016 with a BS in Biochemistry and is applying to medical schools. He participated four times in international medical relief efforts in Ghana, Honduras and Nicaragua. He came in first for his age group in the Long Beach Marathon with a time of 3:17.
    • Lindsay is in her 2nd year at UCSD, studying Environmental Systems: Evolution, Behavior and Ecology. She is a swimmer and avid backpacker.
    • Grant is a senior at Mt. Carmel High School and would like to study Mechanical Engineering in College. He Participates in Cross Country, Soccer and Track for Mt. Carmel. He also volunteers at a local food bank.
    • Ryan is a sophomore at Mt. Carmel high school and also participates in Cross Country, Soccer and Track for Mt. Carmel. In 9th grade he achieved his goal of breaking the 5 minute mile.
  • My husband, Ned, is a systems software architect, as well as a wonderful cook, father and husband. He and I have run 30 marathons between us, including 4 Boston Marathons. We have lived in Sabre Springs for 15 years.
  • Since 2012, I have been a Trustee for the Poway Unified School District. In 2016, I received a Masters in Governance (MIG) from the California School Boards Association (CSBA). I have served as Board President and as Board representative to the following organizations: Poway Chamber of Commerce; California Association of Large Suburban Schools (CALSSD); City of Poway Subcommittee; County Board of Education; City of San Diego Subcommittee and PUSD Education Technology Advisory Committee.
  • I have been active as a PTA Board member at three Poway Unified schools and legislative advocate for Palomar Council PTA and California State PTA. I am a dedicated schools and community volunteer. In 2011, I received a PTSA Honorary Service Award for recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.
  • I am a former special agent for the DEA and a former consumer finance professional. I received a BA in International Business Management from the University of Virginia (UVA). I also have a law degree, having graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Law School. I have lived in 6 countries, 3 states and travelled extensively.
